P.5 Afternoon Session_Reading Fun English

On 12th October 2026, our P.5 students gathered in the school hall for a delightful storytelling session with our NETs, Mr. Houston and Mr. Brown.
They read the story Smart Ice Cream in a lively way to students, guiding them through the tale of an arrogant boy who learns a valuable lesson after eating a magical ice cream. Students showed their opinions to questions using two coloured paper strips and were eager to talk about their opinions by giving elaboration. Then, each class split into two teams to play a team game together. They collaborated by putting their strips together to form a straight line that tilted in the right direction to indicate their answers as a team. Through this activity, they learned to be grateful for their own strengths, learn from others, and respect everyone's unique strengths and weaknesses.
Our P.5 students will continue exploring this delightful story and get creative by designing their very own ice cream flavours with their English teachers in upcoming lessons.
